Booking Magnieras Gite - Availability and Prices
We want our guests to be able to come when they want and to stay for as long as they want, and not be tied to having to rent our gite from Saturday to Saturday, as is the case with so many cottages (although you are of course welcome to do that).
We also feel that couples shouldn't have to pay the same price as a group of 4.
Therefore Magnieras gite can be rented as a one or two bedroom gite, from four nights to.... well, as long as you'd like to stay (gite rentals are limited to 90 days).
Well behaved pets are welcome by arrangement.
Please visit AirBnB to check availability and to book.

"We were lucky enough to stay for a week in April in Andrea and Martin's beautiful and lovingly restored cottage. We had a wonderful time in this very tranquil and beautiful part of the world and particularly enjoyed walking along dirt tracks lined with wildflowers and spending time paddling with our son at the local lake (which has its own beach). The cottage itself is extremely comfortable, and particularly suitable for families. The rooms are large and all ensuite (one containing the most enormous bath I've ever seen!). Andrea and Martin couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, treating us more like guests than customers - one of the highlights of our son's holiday was being shown the horses in their stables. I would recommend anyone looking for a relaxing break in idyllic surroundings to consider staying here."
"Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely cottage. It was all we could wish for - very comfortable, fully equipped, and SO quiet. It was perfect as a base ..we especially enjoyed the walk into Pressignac past horses and goats and the diversion to the little lake. The whole experience now seems like a dream."

For direct bookings, a 25% deposit is required on booking, with the full balance of the rental payable before the booking commences. A security deposit of 200 euros is payable on arrival. This will be returned within 30 days of the departure of the gite tenant after any deductions to cover damage, loss and additional cleaning.
For all bookings, if the security deposit does not cover the cost of damage, loss and additional cleaning, the tenant agrees to pay the balance to the total of the invoices provided by the gite owner.
The gite should be left clean and tidy. If “more than reasonable” cleaning is required following your stay, an additional cleaning fee will be charged.

Nothing other than human waste and toilet paper must be flushed down the toilets and no strong chemicals e.g. bleach put down the drains. If anything is put into the waste system that causes it to malfunction, the full cost of emptying and repairing the system will be charged to the gite tenant.
If the tenant causes willful or negligent damage to the property, furnishings or contents, the gite rental will terminate immediately with the gite owners having the right to retain the full amount of rent paid or due on the property, and the tenant responsible for paying all costs to repair the damage/replace the damaged items.
The gite tenant will occupy the gite without causing disturbance and for the intended purpose of temporary or holiday accommodation.
Any problems or faults found before or during the rental period must be reported to the gite owners immediately. The gite owners will endeavour to rectify any problems or faults within a reasonable period. Gite Rules and Information
We hope you will enjoy your stay – please do not hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can do or provide to make your visit more enjoyable.
Our sewage/waste water system is a fosse septique which uses live bacteria. Please don’t flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilets or put strong chemicals e.g. bleach down the drains. If anything is put into the waste system that causes it to malfunction, the full cost of emptying and repairing the system will be the responsibility of the gite tenant.
WiFi is available – the code will be found in the gite. We retain the right of access to the gite to reset the internet if necessary.
A basket of logs is provided for the wood burner. Please ensure furniture is kept away from the wood burner when it is lit. Further wood can be purchased locally.
There is a washing machine in the cupboard off the dining room, also a portable clothes dryer, iron, ironing board and cleaning utensils. There is a rotary clothes dryer for guests’ use in the gite garden.
Plenty of bedding and towels are provided, with winter and summer duvets.
Rubbish and recycling (apart from glass) are collected on alternate weeks. Please recycle your glass in local bottle banks. Vegetable waste can be recycled in our compost.
We ask guests not to smoke in the house. The bedrooms are fitted with smoke alarms.
We are happy to introduce guests to our horses, but guests must not enter the fields, stables, barns or our private garden without permission. The fencing is electrified and all our animals are rescued and can be unpredictable. Dogs must be kept under strict control as we have cats and wild hedgehogs on our property, and dogs must not enter the horses’ fields (for their own safety).
Thunderstorms – we can get quite severe thunderstorms, and we advise unplugging any electrical/telephone equipment of value during a thunderstorm, and be prepared to lose TV reception during heavy rain. We suggest that guests stay inside if a storm is overhead.
On the day of departure, linen should be removed from the beds and used linen and towels placed on the floor/in a pile ready for washing, all the bins emptied and rubbish and recycling bags left outside the front door, all crockery and kitchen utensils washed up and put away. The gite should be left as clean as it was on arrival, or an additional cleaning fee of (a minimum of) 80 euros will be charged.
